Slim Chickens Continues Growing in Oklahoma, Brings Better Chicken to Broken Arrow in Tulsa

Fast-Casual Franchise Brand Opens Fifth Location in The Sooner State, Available Now for Tulsa-Area Chicken Lovers

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Slim Chickens, a leader in the “better chicken” segment of fast casual restaurants, will be expanding its fresh chicken and unrivaled flavor to Broken Arrow, Okla. The corporate-owned restaurant is located at 1100 E. Hillside Drive and will open to the public on June 29, 2015.

“We’ve heard our Oklahoma fans loud and clear, and we’re fulfilling their request for better chicken in the Tulsa area,” said Sam Rothschild, COO of Slim Chickens. “This is a key growth market for us. While we’ve already had rapid growth in Oklahoma this year, our plan is to continue growing in the state until we’ve reached our capacity in each of the major cities and their surrounding communities.”

This location joins four existing restaurants in Norman, Edmond, Oklahoma City, and Stillwater, which have been successful in bringing Life Changing Chicken to the community. The new restaurant is part of the Tulsa metropolitan area, and will provide the city and its surrounding neighborhoods with high-quality, fresh and handcrafted food.

Focusing on fresh chicken, the brand has developed a niche in its sector of the restaurant industry for product quality that can’t be found anywhere else. With fresh ingredients and minimal freezer space in every restaurant, Slim Chickens honors a commitment to homemade recipes and strong supplier partnerships, ensuring guests can feel good about the food they eat. The down-home Southern brand offers diners hand-breaded or grilled chicken tenders paired with a choice of eight handmade dipping sauces or seven wing sauces for exceptional flavor that has earned admiration from both customers and critics. If guests want to switch it up, Slim Chickens also offers fresh salads, wraps and chicken and waffles. To offset the savory side of the menu, rotating desserts served in Mason jars are also available.

The 2,922-square-foot store is the prototype being used for aggressive national expansion and is one of 15 new restaurants slated to open in the next 12 months across the country. The brand has seen great success in the last several years, expanding from Arkansas into Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri and now Nebraska, and emerging as the national player to establish fast-casual dining’s “better chicken” segment.
